Domestic violence
Are you subjected to threats, degradation, restrictions, or physical violence by someone close to you? It can be difficult to get out of on your own. We can give you support if you yourself are affected or if you suspect that someone else is being harmed.
Violence in a relationship can be psychological, physical, economic, and sexual, and can occur in all kinds of relationships. Sometimes it is a partner who is the perpetrator, and sometimes it is other relatives. It can also be children who subject their parents to violence.
It may involve someone who:
- Calls you something ugly and mean, or tells you that you are bad and difficult.
- Pushes, hits, kicks, or harms you in some other way.
- Controls and restricts you, forces you to do things you do not want to do.
- Forces you to adapt your behavior or lifestyle.
- Forces you into something sexual.
- Takes control of your finances.
What support can I get?
We offer support in various forms depending on your needs. For example:
- supportive conversations
- protection and temporary housing
- support in contact with other authorities, for example the police
- financial help through income support.
